Thread Starter
today was a good day. first off, i got my hd600s. secondly, i finally heard old people having a conversation i've been hoping to overheard for years and had basically given up on. here it is:

woman 1: so how do i know the order of the stone barrington books?
woman 2: do you know how to use the google?
w 1: *frozen, already looking discouraged*
w 2: okay, have you used the microsoft explorer on the google page?
w 1: oh, yes, of course. *eye rolling*
w 2: well, go to the google...
w 1: oh dear.
w 2: ... in the search box, type "stone barrington books order" and hit enter.
w 1: this is all on the google?
w 2: i'll print it off for you.

lol. i love hearing it called "the google." never gets old.

I heard someone talk about a video on youtube today. She described how to get to it, saying, "Just go on your Internet on your computer and find it on the youtube." It was great.

i was driving through montana in august on my way from oregon, where im from, to ohio, where the air force is making me live. Well one night me and my dad stopped at this tiny little diner thing off the highway for dinner. Our waitress was probably like 16 or 17, and i had my iPhone out on the table, no joke she pointed at it and said "whats that?"

haha i laughed for like 20 minutes once we were back in the car

no offense to anyone in the sticks in montana...

I'm sure this in-the-know bunch has never and will never improperly employ tech vernacular. It's a charmed existence.

Once a person asked me why it said Neu! on my t-shirt

I said: "because it's new, stupid!"

I lied, of course.

After college, I did some low level PC tech support. When asking how my job was going, my less than tech-savvy mother-in-law would ask, while airtyping (to indicate a keyboard), "so, uh, are you still doing the computer?"
