So i just rockboxed my nano 2g and when I plug in the USB, it does not recognize it as disk drive. What do I do? How do I load music and what not?

I didn't think the 2G could be rockboxed but that sounds like a problem.

Good idea. Well I don't really know what I did is how Rockbox works on other devices but here's how I put music on mine. As stated before, the problem was that, my computer was not recognizing the Nano in Rockbox mode. So, I booted it up in iPod firmware mode (turn nano off, and when u turn on and see the apple logo, flip the hold switch on), when in iPod firmware, plug usb cable back in. The computer now recognizes it as a disk drive. Put all music in main folder. Disconnect from computer, boot it up in rockbox mode by doing hard reset (menu + select buttons together) and update database. voila, music is all there

Geez now I wish I had my old one to play around with now after all these years it can work on there. I had it on my 1G nano and it got stuck in hold mode while doing a similar thing.

Rockbox only works properly on USB 2.0. It does not like 1.1 and therefore won't recognize it. My XP desktop has a 1.1 usb port on the front and sometimes I forget...
