Up until now, I've only experimented with IEMs (ala IE8s, TF10, etc). I like them however, have realized that I do more listening at home than on-the-go which leads me to believe that I can get better SQ going full-sized.
I'm looking at the Sennheiser HD650 and Denon D5000 in particular. Is it safe to assume that I'll notice a HUGE difference in SQ migrating to these from my IE8s and TF10? I know amping will be an initial problem but my NuForce Icon Mobile should be sufficient for now.
So again,
1) Will there be a noticeable improvement in SQ going to headphones?
2) Is the D5000 a better pick over the HD650? What are some others I should look into?
