An idea for the next "what are you listening to..." thread

With close to 17k entries I'm guessing the "what are you listening to" thread doesn't have long to live.

So with that in mind I'd like to suggest that in the replacement thread participants make just 1 post and then edit it to add new CDs.

I've been doing this in the current thread and I find it interesting to look back over the list and see patterns emerge and read the brief comments I've added to each "listen". It would also give Head-fiers a better idea of each others musical tastes which, used as a reference could help in making musical suggestions and go a long way to understanding each others point-of-view in discussions.

Does this sound reasonable or am I way off base?

It's an interesting idea, obviously users must avoid to post album covers, otherwise a single post with say ten CDs would take up a whole page...but that's just one more rule to add.

Good idea, we should try it next time the thread is closed.

Interesting idea, but personally, I much prefer seeing what others are listening to on a rolling, daily basis. For instance, since your post is in the beginning of the thread, I only saw it once, when you later posted to refer to it. I therefore miss seeing what you are listening to on a daily basis, which is unfortunate. One thing I think would be good in a new thread would be to limit images to 200x200. Just my two cents.

I should have added a link to my "what are you........" post to help better get my idea across. Look at post #13. As you see I didn't adding comment and dates until January 2008.

The WAYLTN thread would remain as is, if I were master of Head-Fi.
