Need for a USB sound card/interface

I have a laptop, which has a SPDIF port, as well as multiple USB ports.
I have ordered the AMB y2 DAC(MisterX).
I was planning to attach via SPDIF, but I wasnt sure I will get Bit-Perfect or a good clean interface.
So I thought I'll look into USB sound cards.
Quick searching got me this one.

Newegg.com - Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 SB1090 5.1 Channels 24-bit 96KHz USB Interface Sound Card - Sound Cards

Are there any other better options? Or should I go for this one only?

I've wondered about this myself!

The gamma2 should have usb, optical and s/pdif (unless you didn't order a full config). Just try each one and decide which is best.

My gamma2 has those inputs indeed, but im concerned that my laptop out (SPDIF) will not be good enough. Ah well, I'll try the outputs when my DAC comes.

@superfrag : either spdif or USB would be bit-perfect if you use wasapi/asio/KS & your sound card drivers support bit-perfect output.
Generally speaking, spdif > USB (unless you are speaking of high end asynchronous USB DAC)

Hmm.. I'll just have to try them and hope my laptop SPDIF is upto the mark.
