FS: SPL Auditor in mint condition

Dear headfiers,

I am offering to you one of the best headphone amplifiers existing. Highest quality made in Germany! This amp is not only a beauty but also excellent sounding. For me the best headphone amp on the market and a perfect partner for a HD800…

The Auditor is only 2 months old and in perfect/new condition. No signs of use.
Bill, warranty and original package are present.

I am only selling this state of the art headphone amp, because I switched to active speakers which I will drive with a grace m902. The headphone amp of the grace is not as brilliant as the SPL, but it is good enough for me at the moment…

I am asking €550 / $777 excl. transport. Worldwide shipping will be no problem. Location is Germany.

thanks for your advice. Some weeks ago the price for the Auditor was €699 / $999.
Referring to the news I would say €550 / $777 would be a very fair price for an amp in mint condition.

hi,

well, im not trying to ruin your sale, but i think you are wrong again.
do you reckon a potential customer who is considering spending 600 euro on an amplifier would sacrifice buying a new product and the 100% confidence that absolutely is everything ok for a product which is 50 euros less ( <10% of the price)?
i dont think so, i definitely wouldnt

i am hesitating to buy this amp although i cant get any information if it could serve as a preamp as well and whats the relation to this case with the phonitor (does this one work as a preamp if the auditor doesnt)

this being said i would have never bought it cheaper just for the sake of saving an extra buck or two, if you make a decent proposition i will consider it, if not it will take you a while to find someone who has exactly 550 in his wallet and not 599 to spend on his amp

you may think I am asking to much, but my amp is really completely new. You will not find any differences to one you would buy from a shop. And to my mind $777 to $999 (or €50 within the EU) is not so little, but you are very welcome to make me an offer. It would be a pleasure to negotiate
Furthermore I could tell if you could use the Auditor or Phonitor as a preamp
btw the data and sound of the auditor exeed the ones of the Phonitor...

I know this isn't a discussion forum but...

Neither Auditor or Phonitor can be used as pre-amps. The XLR outs just pass whatever came in through the inputs without alteration. The Auditor and Phonitor amp sections are identical except the Auditor doesn't have the additional circuitry for crossfeed etc. and measures slightly better.

No comments on pricing

BTW, it is a very nice amp. Mine is staying :-)
