σ11 + M3 Transformer VA rating

Hello.

A few days I came across the AMB M3 amp and after reading the site and reading some forum threads about it I got excited about it and started ordering parts for an M3 + a σ11 to go with it.

I have all the parts ordered now, and expect to be able to start building it in a week or two.

BUT, my question is about the transformer needed for the σ11 to drive the M3.

I know that the AMB site lists a 15 or 25VA transformer, but I came across a cheap 2x12v 50VA toroid transformer that was just too cheap to pass up!

Now, Is this way too much? will I run into problems with this transformer?
I intend to run the σ11 at 27 volts.

No, it will be fine. Just try and keep it a decent distance away from the amp to avoid noise issues.

Cool, thanks.

I'm going to mount the PSU in a separate case, so it should be fine.

PS: Just for the record, by cheap I didn't mean crap, it was just overstock.

Just a quick update. All my parts came in the mail lightning-quick.
I now have the sigma11 and M3 nicely playing here. The trafo is fine.
