CMOY help - batteries draining while powered off

I just built a cmoy amp, and it works great! No distortion or any buzzing or anything. However, I've noticed that it will drain the two 9V batteries in just a few days. This is with the input cable freely connected, so maybe I will check to see if this makes a difference, but otherwise I'm not sure what the problem is.

Thanks for the help!

Which circuit did you use? if you have 2 batteries with the centre joint as ground you will need a dpdt switch to completly disconnect the batteries

I used the tangentsoft one here: How to Build the CMoy Pocket Amplifier

and bought the potentiometer that acts as a switch. The led turns off when i switch it off, but i can still hear audio (barely) with it off.

I used the ALPS RK097 found here: Tangent’s Parts Shop

Thanks for the help!
