Add Up The Cost Of All The Equipment You Have

How much are we into this thing? It started out small then started to grow. Sometimes fast sometimes slow. There were things we sold, there were things we kept. What would be your total investment? You can post it like it is your friends system if you don't want your "other" to find out.

In the past 10 years, not that much. If I add up headphones and other audio related purchases, I am placing it around $3100 (based on home theaters, computer speakers, etc..). Nothing compared to some people on here I'm sure.

Yes, it is really cool to see people who are at peace with purchases. Now your on vacation and can just enjoy!

I'm a bit north of $1000 right now, soon to be about $1400 when the Pico Slim ships. Add in the incremental losses from trading things around, and materials for modding and a recable, and I'm probably just south of $2000. Oh, and the unstarted DIY project materials, maybe $2400. Still not quite there. The amp is short term settled. I'm hoping my source might be when the V-Dac arrives. Headphones and IEMs (seems I need both) are still uncertain.

Headphone related equipment you mean (source, amplification, headphones, cables, ..)?
If so, then somewhere around $15K. Give or take.

It sure seems like we've all been through these kinds of threads countless times before... but for you new friends, I'll leave it open.

In the beginning, there was crap.

Sony IEMs, $40

But then came curiosity.

V-Moda Vibes, $70

And God said, "let there be light," and the Vibes were broken (thrice).
And thus was I sent to the realm of Head-Fi, to discover my sin.

Alessandro MS1, $99
Cmoy, $40
Shure E2C, $60

From Head-Fi grew an addiction:

Grado HF2: $429
Starving Student Millett Hybrid: $150
E-MU 0404 USB: $200
Little Dot I+: $130
Cables: $40

And in the end, Head-fi was sorry about my wallet, for it had emptied.

$1258
