***SOLD!***
For sale is my Audio-GD DAC-19Mk3 with both Mode A (PMD100) and Mode B (DF1704) filter modules. These units equipped with the PMD100 are now extremely rare because Audio-GD can no longer get a new-old-stock supply of that part. With the PMD100 installed, this DAC supports HDCD and 24-bit input up to 55KHz (via coax or optical), and it has an incredibly refined sound. With the DF1704 installed, it supports 24-bit input up to 96KHz, but not HDCD. The DF1704 gives even greater extension at the frequency extremes than the PMD100, but the PMD100 sounds more natural to my ears.
I've owned a lot a DACs over the past few years, and this one is every bit as good as the best of them that I've had, even though it was nowhere near the most expensive. The Audio-GD circuit design and build quality are outstanding. The only reason I'm selling the DAC-19Mk3 is because I have recently acquired a Red Wine Audio Isabella with built-in DAC and headphone amp. Sound quality between the DAC-19Mk3 (with PDM100) and the Isabella DAC is a toss up, but the preamp and headphone sections in the Isabella are better than any others I've heard. (Bear in mind that the Isabella is a $6000 piece of gear.) So I am reluctantly letting go of the DAC-19Mk3.
I'm looking to get $495 plus shipping, which will be a flat fee of $25 to anywhere in the continental US. (Sorry, but at this time I do not want to ship this unit internationally.) Preferred method of payment is US Postal Service money order.
