I spoke to a clinic called "Harley Street Hearing" in London and they charge £60 for ear impression which I think is expensive.

I never thought it was possible for such rich sound from a headphone. Simply amazing headphones.

When I first put them on on I though that the highs will blow my head off. My ears got tired after 10 - 15 minutes. I though I would throw them out of the window. But having read some good...

SEE PROS & CONS. NOTE: The clamping factor will obviously differ from person to person, but I'm surprised to find little mention of it, as it is the sole reason I'd never think twice about...

When I listened to the sound for the 1st time, I was hit by it. I was punched by the not-punchy-bass. I was hoping it would offer much better bass response than SE315.. equals to Klipsch Image...

I would have thought that it would be good if the audiologist had some knowledge of earphones. YMMV.
I didn't care for my audiologists approach and blame her for poor fit.
If I have further impressions done, I will go to a specialist audio outfit.
Hand Held Audio in Enfield are apparently very good.
At Hand Held, you can also try out various earphones, which sounds pretty cool.

Depends what you are after. Some custom earphone manufacturers, such as JH want a specific kind of impression.

Thanks for getting back ASAP. Firstly, I visited the Ultimate Ear website and they recommended only Harley Street Ear Clinic in UK.
Is it better to go with the recommended specialist? Or should I look for alternatives? Like Hand Held Audio?
Thanks

I was incredibly satisfied with my visit to Amplifon and not just because the audiologist ending up doing the impressions for free! Not had my monitors back yet but they did seem very professional and knowledgeable.
Might be worth having a scout out Amplifon UK

You may well find that you need a re fit or even re mould.
At that point the most important thing is the customer service you get from whoever is making the customs.
I guess that is more important than who does your impressions.

the guy was charginf £39 for impressions. I had my impressions for my custom ACS tips done there and yea it was ok but the fit wasn't like perfect and his method was a bit unorthodox.
I highly recommend getting yourself to Liverpool Street then taking a train to Enfield Lock to visit Nick @ Hand Held Audio:
Radio Microphones and In-Ear Monitors and Earphones
I had my impressions done for my JH13's there and the fit is spot bang on. Price of impressions is £40 and they're also an Ultimate Ears dealer also.

I'm thinking of buying JH16pro, did you send your impression to the company in US?
Or are there any of their representatives in UK?
Thanks

Subscriped. I'm in London relatively often and I don't care much for the audiologists around here.
Might as well have a set done next time i'm in London as I always find myself needing some. If they're using that new material that doesn't shrink they ought to be good for a while.
