Ipod through DAC

I'm new to head-fi, and was wondering if anyone has tried this:

Would it be possible to take a line out w/ usb from the ipod's 30 pin connector, connect the usb to a total bithead, and the bithead to headphones and get dac quality from an ipod?

I'm not very knowlegeable in amps or dac, so I could use any help you can give.

You can't do that.

The only devices that can do that are the Wadia iTransport, Onkyo and the forthcoming Peachtree, but all are non-transportable. None of them offers usb input.
