For sale is my Cambridge Audio 840C CD Player/DAC. This player has been declared as having the best sound quality in any player under $5,000. The original price is $1,600.
It has balanced and unbalanced analog along with coax and optical outputs, two (2) digital inputs (to be used as a DAC), and a voltage switcher.
I'm selling to fund the purchase of the same player, but in silver.
Comes with remote control, manual, power cord and double box (box is not pictured). Functions perfectly, and cosmetically it's almost in mint condition save for a couple of tiny marks on the edge of the front panel. They are not visible in photographs, and unless you know they're there and you look for them, you can't see them with the naked eye either.
The remote control has some scuffs from being dropped, but is fully functional. I would conservatively rate the condition of the player as 8-9 on audiogon's 1-10 scale.
Asking $950 + shipping, and I am not charging more for paypal fees (by the way, for anyone who charges, you should know it's against paypal's regulations).
Local pickup in Lake Worth, FL is welcome as well.
