I'm looking for the least expensive way to obtain an 80ohm driver that would match to work in a pair of DT770 Pro's (80ohm). I hear beyer uses the same drivers across the dt770s/dt880s/dt990s(last one, I'm not entirely sure about but it seems likely), so if the impedance matched than it'd be a fit. Seems the change in sound is derived from the internal construction and physical properties of the cans (closed, open, semi-open). Any info would be appreciated greatly! I turn 21 Sunday and these cans have been out of commission for over a year (long story).
