Clip+ won't accept FLAC files

I am experiencing some problems with my new Sansa Clip+ 8 GB.

Whenever I try to copy/transfer one or more FLAC files onto the player, I get a Windoes error message saying "your device cannot handle files of this type" (I am paraphrasing here since my Windows is non-english).

Any idea what the problem might be?

MTP mode, I assume? I don't have this issue with MSC mode ("drag and drop"). I'm not primarily a Windows user, so it's difficult for me to replicate the error.

Format the Clip+ and try again.

I would try using the media manager by Sansa.Also have you tried upgrading its firmware.

Upgrade firmware with sansa updater

Yep update firmware worked for my fuze too when I got it.
