Well, the Sony S is a noticeable step down from the A series, basically because the material changes from metal to plastic. That said, it's probably one of the nicer plastic electronics I've used. The A series though, felt phenomenal in the hand. Apart from my Canon G9 camera, I've never felt anything so reassuringly solid.
