Seattle/Portland" Meet in the Middle" - Page 7

I was thinking the millet 307a, the eddie currant ba, and now he has the equilibrato se which looks like it would do nicely. Need more info on it. % months is a lot of time to change ones mind.

eddie currant always comes up with new amp, I don't I could keep up.

Balanced is the way to go. It will take your HD800 amd D7000 another notch higher (but you have to recable D7000......)

Im gonna try to make this one but Im afraid Im mostly just a mooch. Ill bring everything in my sig, even the A40 and mixamp, heck even a 360 if there is anywhere to set it up (I doubt it however). But it should be fun if I can go. Always wanted to go to one of these.

On a side note, are there any actual brick and mortar shops in the Seattle/Tacoma area to go look at actual gear, or a person that can re-cable my MS2i. I need some bowls for my Alessandro's also. If anyone has a list, a name or some links and is willing to PM me or post here that would be awesome.

Thanks for setting these things up, Im sure its alot of work.

I Picked up one of the last Mini-Watt integrated tube amps and a Xiang Scheng Little Singer Integrated tube/SS Hybrid, from 32 Ohm audio in Portland last week. The Mini Watt is straight tube to speaker and will require an adapter to listen with headphones and the Little Singer is both speaker and headphone with an additional USB thumb/SD card input to play files from any SD card. It is not a DAC except for the minimal (respectable but nothing to write home about) onboard DAC used to decode the files on the USB/SD inputs. I also hope to have a Maverick D1 DAC magic to put up with the Zero and Compass for an a/b/c comparison. All "Mid-Fi" at best but it's still what most of us base our gear on. A little taste of tubes and a little Solid State.

Yeah if I come I could bring some of my little things. And recabling, hmm maybe someone could cheaply re-terminate the iGrado I won but had their cable chewed off by a kittens shortly after? Actually I was thinking about trying to do it myself

Woud like to listen to your WA3 again, but don't like long drives. Just got some new Pangea power cables and Beyerdynamic T1, so I can catch up on some clasicall music listening. T1 is giving my Phonitor workout, mayby I should try them with some tube amps.

If Josh comes he may bring K, That is a experience in itself. That guy is great to add to the atmosphere. Will keep Head-fiers on their toes. Great stuff.

My suggestion would be to meet at the Delta Park PnR. It's on the MAX Yellow Line (and absolutely nothing to do with being very convenient for me personally). Or if any better suggestions...?

Or if it's an entirely lame idea, due to the potential massive-gear-hauling-over-public-transport issues, then voice that out too.
I am down for that,

I plan on bringing what's listed in my sig, as well as a mini-media server and LCD monitor which I could easily bring on the max with me.

It would be good to know if there was a seat for me one I got there, seeing as I don't own a car, and would be maxxing it from Forest Grove...

I could set up a google spreadsheet or something like that if folks were interested so that Portlanders could get their ride-share on?
