Looking for smallest 3.5mm jack

Hello All,

I've just recently completed a retermination of the 3.5mm jack on my Yuin PK3 earphones with a 3.5mm jack purchased from Ratshack. I've been looking at all the 3.5mm jacks on this forum however they all seem to be too large for my applications. I would like to be able to use these earphones with my iPhone with a hard cover case on it. The problems lies in that the 3.5mm jack is too large to fit into the small diameter opening of the iPhone case. My question is what is the smallest DIY 3.5mm jack and will it suit my application?

Thanks in advance for your time and consideration

Neutrik are the "smallest" I've used, but then again they're not smaller than what was originally on the Yuin. Did the original plug break?

Worst case scenario, you can always take a drill to the case

Juaquin - Yes the original plug broke on the PK3's, I would not have replaced otherwise since they are perfect when they work.

nemmo - I was looking at the Qables before however I couldn't figure out where the solder points were from the picture, I may give these a try either way.

I also received a private message stating I should google "4 conductor 3.5mm jack iphones". I ended up finding this website 3.5MM CONNECTORS - FOR SALE and was interested in the 3.5MM SHIELDED MINI STEREO AUDIO PLUG which is the second one from the top. The website doesn't look the best though but the plug looks interesting.

The Ultrasone 3.5mm at Qables is the smallest I know of that doesn't require any modification. Neutriks are pretty small too but they are a bit bigger than the iBuds are and I have doubts they will fit your iThing.

Sorry to hear that, I love my PK3's. You probably won't ever find anything quite as small. My Nuetrik's plug into my iPhone with case just fine, but I have a thin plastic case so it probably depends entirely upon the design of the case.

Those Ultrasone 3.5mm jacks are still too 'perpendicular' for my liking.

Can anyone recommend an L bend type? The Neutriks are horrible for portable use: I can't get over how large they are. The 3.5mm jack I've been using is around 4mm and a L bend from the mini-disc player I use. Is there anything similar?
