Buying Parts for BantamDAC, where?

Hello guys,
Any advice where I can get good deals on electronic components? I'm off to build me a BantamDAC and not much places that have all the parts in one place to save on shipping. The prices are too high on Digikey, and seems like most of the parts you need to buy in groups of more than one. Mouser has all and a good deal, but 3 components are missing
and will be out of stock for a long time. I found a kit online, but alot of stuff was missing. Cables, box etc.
(IC1,L1-L8,C8) http://www.diyforums.org/BantamDAC/b...tamDAC-BOM.htm

I'm open to buying one from someone to wants to sell. Or parts either way.

About the only part on the Bantam that doesn't have a substitute is the PCM2702. Maybe if you listed what you can't find sebody can help you find an alternate.

At this moment, the parts missing are..

IC1 TPS79333 3.3V LDO, 5SOT-23
C8 Ceramic 22uf 6.3V X5R 10%
L1 - L8 Ferrite 600R

I'd like to buy all the parts from one location because of shipping costs,
but I don't know if that is avoidable. Worst case buy all except the three from mouser
and the other three from another source. (If there is)

Yes, cobaltmute is correct. My apologies, but the specific links that I put in the BOM's on DIYForums.org are a bit misleading. If that specific part is not in stock, you have no idea that equivalent versions are still available. Best to check the specific link first, then type in the description in the Mouser search field if the specific link gives no results.

Besides the caps and ferrites, which alternate in stock all the time among different brands/versions, TI seems to run production lots with successively newer versions of their chips all the time. What's there now is the same thing, for all intents and purposes - just a different letter revision.

So, yes - you can get it all at Mouser.

cobaltmute:
So, I can get any of the other ones in those links? As long as the general specs are same correct?
Basically, if I need a specific part but its missing just search the general section i.e. capacitors and then filter by general specifications. I have never purchased separate parts for projects, which explains the lack of knowledge but hopefully that gets cleared up.

Thank you so much for the help, I appreciate it.

I can't speak for cobalt mute, but no - what I was saying was use the description in the BOM and type that in the Mouser search field if the specific link on the BOM doesn't result in a part that's in stock.

For instance, if you type in "TPS79333" instead of using the link to "TPS79333DBVR" or type in "Ceramic 22uf 6.3V X5R 10%" instead of using the link to "80-C1206C226K9P." You still need to make qualitative decisions about the part in question - is it the same rating, is it the same physical size, etc.? "Is it in stock?" is only one of the many qualities that are important.

P.S. Just wondering, but you gave no reaction at all to the kit that's available from Glass Jar Audio (jinp6301's post). Wouldn't that be easier in this case?

Thanks for the reply tomb,
I figured it out finally or at least the general idea. :-)
About the bantam kit, well the thing is by the time I add a good usb cable, rsa cable, box and maybe change a few parts it costs over 50 dollars making it not worth it. My plan is ordering almost all the parts from mouser and the rest from your site(beezar) since I'll be purchasing the millet hybrid kit at the same time. Should hopefully round off to a bit less.
