The best vinyl rips I have ever heard...

There are vinyl rips available (on a different site) from a user called dgstrat. His recording chain is as follows:

VPI 16.5 Vacuum
VPI Scout TT
Shelter 501 Cart.
PS Audio GCPH Phono Stage
Cayin A-88T Int. Tube Amp
Click Repair: Reverse 10

These are definitely the best vinyl rips I have ever heard, I could JUST listen to these rips and not even need a TT rig. PM me if you're interested in a link since I'm pretty sure we're not allowed to discuss that stuff here...

no mention of the digital side other than a bit of software?

A bit of Googling found the person you're talking about. Can you offer any opinions on how his vinyl rips compared to CD releases?

I know that this is the best that my system has ever sounded. Never heard the CD versions of any of the records I got.

His rips are good but not the best I have heard.

I while back I got a couple "essential" jazz albums on CD including Cannonball Adderley's Somethin' Else. I know it's regarded as one of the best but I didn't like it.

Anyway I downloaded the vinyl rip and wow, night and day. The vinyl version sounds awesome, even on my setup.

the general consensus on vinyl rips these days is that there is a true master out there, shining brighter than every other vinyl-rip guy...

those who have found his rips have already understood why he is becoming a legend in the field of vinyl rips....

god bless him.
