need help with opa1612

from TI's website, i conclude that it is a bipolar opamp.
read on tangentsoft that bipolar opamps will cause high DC offset if something is not designed properly?
now i am afraid of using it in my P3 or replacing the opamp in my ordnance :x
is it possible to measure DC offset at the headphone out of the amp?

Many modern bipolar input opamps have such low input bias currents that DC offset wont be a problem in a headphone amp, including OPA1612.

You can use Electronics Calculators to calculate the DC offset.

Forgot to answer your question. Yes, it's easy to measure DC-offset with a voltmeter. Use a mini-mini cable and put the black probe on ground and the red probe on tip (left) or ring (right). DC-offset is usually in the mV range.
