The OLED screen is amazing, I have never seen anything like it before.
I am waiting for your trading it with some discount.

Are you still considering the Cowon S9 or even the Cowon O2 ?

After using the Zune HD for a few days now it looks like I prefer my ZVM still. The sq is nice and I prefer the sound over the ZVM but I really think its just the new toy effect.
The album art and display is amazing, but there are alot of little annoyances for me.

I use the Zune in the car alot and need the screen to stay on so that I have access to it without pressing a button and swiping my finger to unlock it. There needs an option added to stop the screen lock. Seems like they did it for battery issues, my ZVM is 4 years old and the screen is always on, yet I still get over a days worth of use out of it.

Another huge problem is that there is no sleep mode, and you cant set the player to turn off after a certain amount of time.

Finally, I am so used to drag and drop that I felt the Zune software was too clutered. I had compilation mp3s to various artists in particular folders, and the Zune software doesnt allow you to see the folder locations at all.

Sounds like you may end keeping both, ZVM for the car, the Zune as your new toy and a portable when you're not in your car :-)

Wow. I think it's awesome that a pretty old device such as the ZVM exceeds the ZHD, in your opinion.

As for the sleep mode/blind control, have you seen this video?
+ YouTube Video

I can't vouch for the usefulness in solving your issues, but it sounds like it'd help.

I agree wholeheartedly about the Zune software being a bit of a clunker. Also, good on you for noticing that "new toy effect". I almost always jump into my head and start justifying my purchase, instead of really weighing pros and cons, after I get a new gadget

Thanks for the link of the video. Lots of useful info on there, but it didnt solve my problem. I needed something that would leave the screen on and not lock the screen. Screen being on would allow me to see what is playing, and allow me to easily change tracks in the car by simply tapping the screen. The player looks amazing and is really responsive with the Tegra chip, the software just needs to be improved along with simple changes to the interface that can be fixed by a new firmware.
