How should I use my SFIs?

I've had trouble getting an answer on this on the "Ortho Roundup" thread, and I can't be bothered to read 100+ pages of posts. Can anyone tell me a good combination of damping material and earpads to use these drivers?

Have you tried ludoo's search engine for that thread? http://headfi.qix.it/ Great way to navigate around a ton of useful information.

It was pretty helpful but I had a hard time finding much about how to best use the SFI drivers, I saw them mentioned a few times but no solid leads.... at least that I could locate.

Yeah, its a bit hard to look for things when you don't know the exact terms... :( Try searching for the term smeggypuck. Which brings up this post: http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/111193/orthodynamic-roundup/5205#post_4868319 I think this is the type of enclosure construction that people found to be best sounding. Small, solid, closed puck with a small bass port on the side. Make sure that the space between your ears and the drivers are sealed tightly, and stick felt and tape behind the driver to personal taste. I think thats it...

Nice! Thanks for that.
