The first link is to install a broken SSD, and the second link is for a Bing search. Really, I think the OP asked for help, not your usual sarcasm. Just because you hate the Zune doesn't mean you should spam all threads w/your venom.

Sorry. but the SSD is not broken. Read the article about the mod again. Where do you see sarcasm? what venom? did I post any single word on my last post or just 2 links?

I have the CF / ZIF boards from Dealextreme (both of them):

DealExtreme: $3.96 CF Flash Memory to 1.8" CE/ZIF Hard Disk Adapter Card with ZIF Cable
DealExtreme: $5.91 CF/ZIF Convertor Circuit Board with ZIF Cables (notice that the top review is mine)

I could never get 19675 to work, but did get 11814 to work on a DELL D420 laptop with an 8GB CF card. So I know the combo worked.

With that in mind, I used to have a Zune 30 which I tested the 11814 / 8GB CF card combo, and I could not get it to work. I also could not get it to work on a Gigabeat S player that I own. I'm assuming that it's a firmware related issue, in both cases. Rockbox also used to have issues with CF cards and required an update to the firmware, as I recall.

I'm not a mod, so get the story straight. Also, did you post any info that is actually assisting the OP? No, as usual.

As for the MOD itself, I've yet to see anyone get it to work w/a 30gb first gen Zune, so this thread is quite interesting for me. I'm personally hoping the OP has success, as it meas quite a bit to me.
