Need some help (Zune/Teclast)

So I have a Zune HD and prefer it to the Iphone I used to have. I wanted to know if the Teclast 51/S:flow2 has better sound quality or not. I don't care much for apps/browsing so if it odes I'll probably use it as my primary portable source.

Also, is mp4nation trustworthy? There seems to be some varying opinions so far.

On a second note, are there any chinese pmp's worth getting? I currently have an Archos 7 and just wanted to know if any of the chinese pmp's are better for video playback (Obviously they play more formats, I meant quality wise)

Oh and I'll be listening through shure se530 and sen hd600's.

Thanks for any opinions/help you guys can give.

For sound quality only, yes teclast T51 is better than zune hd for me,
mp4nation is trustworthy because they have forum for a few years, but i don`t know about their aftersales service

Thanks, I'm thinking of buying them from houseOfDaps and selling my Zune after.
Also, do you know any pmp (the portable isn't important lol) that is more than say 7 inch like the Archos 7?

sorry, i dont have any experience with chinese PMP

if u want bigger than 7 inch, maybe u can consider this 8.9inch PMP, but i dont think it is better than archos 7 and the storage is small too

My experience with HOD is bad.. I regret not buying from mp4nation, their staff is active, very polite, and the forum is full of little gnomes that will help you in trouble. HOD would be the exact opposite of that.

Hi Folks...

I'm weighing in as an mp4nation.net customer (multiple items, including successful warranty replacements)...

AND as a upgraded Teclast T51 i.e. nationite s:flo2 16GB owner. Firmware 1.10 for me. As there is a potential issue with the transflash (microsdhc) card reader with the updated Firmware 1.20 version. Fortunately Teclast is hammering well on Firmware 2.00.

That Aside...

I HIGHLY RECCOMEND the s:flo2. Why?

Laundry List:

versus COWON S9 (only 4 Hrs FLAC playback) the s:flo2 soes (10 Hrs AS ADVERTISED.)

versus iriver H140 > SysConcept Optical IC > iBasso D10 Cobra ROCKboxed combo... Gently... shoved aside in terms of sound quality. Config of amp stage: Analog Devices AD797 as amp, National Semiconductor LMH6643 as buffer chips for the most 3D rendtion of sound out of the iBasso D10.

AND that combo murders the COWON spectrum of devices. HOW do I know?

Ive had the D2, the O2PMP, and the S9... all sold because of the iriver H140...

now i have the s:flo2, which is a crack up, cuz it bests the optical channel of the iBasso D10 Cobra's single Wolfson WM8740 with a pair. One per channel (L/R fed into a Burr Brown opamp where the signals are pooled into a single electrical signal for chips to "understand") and at a quarter or a fifth the cost of the iriver/SysConcept/iBasso rig... gah! ohnoze!

and thats nude, meaning unamped, it drives up to 120dB with 32 ohm headphones.

with finnickier phones or harder to drive ones, maybe 100dB... you can tell i luv it loud. And I've switched from my beloved IEMs (not simple Qtips) to CANS now. So I needed more power to drive with. Go s:flo2.

Another item of note thats almost an accessory is the Screen, a lovely wide viewing angle 320x480 MVA LCD display... that has one of the nicest pieces of glass on it I have seen. It is SUPER POLISHED. and MIRRORLIKE. It is Simply put: Posh.

And so is the Video Quality. Posh again. The included Madagascar.avi teaser which is possibly H264 or DIVX/XVID in an .avi container... IS BREATHTAKING. it MURDERS the AMOLED S9 by a fair margin. Nothin EVER really looked good on that 480x272 really finnicky codec and profile wise device. NOT a PROBLEM with the s:flo2

Here are the buyers specs link: LINK TO s:flo2

I can vouch for the gang at mp4nation.net as being above board. Hey they even threw in a pair of Brainwavz Beta IEMs into my order when i ordered a different free gift. Which I received as well. Cool Beans!

Shipping to me from order placement/echeck (PayPal verif)/ arrival at postal annex due to wrong address/failed delivery was approximately a dozen days.

WHAT? FAILED DELIVERY? Yeah I was in process of moving from home to apt when I pulled the trigger. Mail and Deliveries get screwed during those times. Not mp4nations fault. and HongKongPost kept my tracking info visible the whole time.

I feel very secure. Would shop for another one. And I'm even reccomending this item to friends and well fellow Head-Fi'ers.

GET IT , it sound HUUUUUGE! it shanks the competition.

ENJOY.

A number of S9 owners over at iAudiophile.net have purchased the s:flo2, and the reaction was all the same: The s:flo2 is the better sounding dap. The battery life may leave much to be desired, but the SQ is unmistakable - it's got stellar sound quality. The s:flo2 is even on my to do list, as I hope to purchase 1 next month.

As for the exact power output, they all say the same thing: the s:flo2 is L-O-U-D!!!!

RE: s:flo2 power output

it powers my 32 ohm Shure SRH 240 to 120 dB.

scootermafia confirmed that it powers his HD800 directly without amp.

yup, I'll be buying one at the end of the week once university exams are over. Any of you have an idea how long the free shipping and the priority/express shipping take, also do mp4nation mark down/gift the player or not?

Thanks.

Free Shipping and EMS are BOTH approximately equal in time unfortunately due to (I'm guessing Customs? and HongKong Post?? & Holiday Traffic /USPS?) I ordered mine with EMS for an additional $18.00 USD and it still took over a dozend days approximately, and my friend from iAUDIOphile.net ordered his with FREE shipping and received his in about a dozen days. So unfortunately I wasted about $18.00 USD.... :-<

They DO STILL HAVE free gifts selectable at http:MP4 Nation Online MP4 Player Store for the s:flo2 @ this time (Tuesday, Jan 12, 2010 @ 06:10am EST)

According to this post, I believe the TECLAST version of firmware 2.00 is out but the nationite version/"approved" variant is NOT 'yet' out...

About how long does the battery last in normal, mp3 listening conditions, in your experience?
