WAV and Clip+ not a good match

Just bought a Sansa Clip+ and for some reason I can't figure out is that it won't play some of tracks I have ripped from my personnal CD's and some of them it plays just fine . So I reripped the same CD's in Flac and it played all the tracks just fine . Sansa support is closed today and I can't find anything here on Headfi so I was wondering if anybody knows anything about this , like could it be the player or something else ? , sure would like to know , so far I really can't tell any difference between FLAC and WAV on this player but I sure don't want a defective player either even tho I really like this player alot . Thanks

Try ripping some new .wav files. Maybe some of yours are corrupt or didn't encode properly. For example, if you know of a particular .wav track that doesn't work, rip that cd to a new .wav file and see if that works.

Try looking into clip firmware updates.

Thanks , that is what I'm going to do next , even if it works properly , I still would like to find out why it would not play those tracks , there's got to be a reason .

There is no sound quality difference between the two. Both are lossless, they're just coded differently to store the data.

As a test, I just decoded one of my FLAC files to L-PCM, and then copied it over to my Sansa Plus 8GB. It played back fine - standard 16-bit PCM audio, at 44100 Hz.
