Anybody heard their first album yet? I picked it up the other day and I'm really enjoying it. They have a very unique sound and it's catchy to boot.

Yes, it's very good. Too bad the CD doesn't exactly sound good. Another casualty in the Loudness War.

A few people have posted about it here, it's certainly received heavy play in my household.

Unique sound? The album is okay, but hardly groundbreaking. As supergroup excursions go, it's better than most, with the straight-ahead classic rock sound gelling quite well.

It's one of those albums that sounded exactly how I expected it to. And I'm a bit sick of his vocals, sorry. I noticed how much I liked Humbug by the Arctic Monkey's because it had a lot of QotSA's sound but way cooler vocals and lyrics. On SftD it was very bearable because of all the originality and awesomeness in the tracks. The two albums after that were 'meh'. Some hot chick would've been nice on this one, but that's probably asking too much

Noticed this too. Then again, that's hardly surprising.

Mediocre at best, and bordering on bad. Strange Cousins From the West by Clutch (which is far from being Clutch's best work) is a much better record and a much better produced and recorded album.
