Good cheap gym combo?

The old shuffle I picked out of the snow is starting to get pretty flaky (can't hold a charge, occasional corruption issue), so it's time to find a new player. Been using random stock buds too, so might get a pair for gym only too.

Thinking about the clip or one of the lower end Sony DAPs, and maybe the senn sport buds (will not use the pk3s for the gym, too many reliability issues reported). Space is not an issue, 2 or 4 GB is plenty. Armband or belt clip is a must, either built in or case. Not being bulky is necessary too.

*Puts flame retardant suit on, prays, masks ip address, hides under the bed with shotgun*

Sansa Clip and (braces myself) Skullcandy Smokin Buds Ink'd.

I know i recommended the Skandies, but ya know what? Theyre on sale alot under $15, theyre non-fatiguing, have a nice tone, comfy, go in the ear without a freeking shoe-horn, and sound decent for something cheap, and if you get them caught on a piece of workout equipment and break them, you probably wont be suicidal and can just buy another pair.
Theyre not the last word in transparancy, detail, etc., but they have some bass and for working out you can turn them up a bit for some punch without fatigue and deafening yourself like with them Ipod EarBuds.
I got mine on sale last year at FYE for $9.99.
I use this combo as a cheapo pocket rig, and it also has FM radio that picks up stations really well.

Actually, not a fan of IEMs in the gym (like to be at least somewhat aware of my surroundings), so the Smoking Buds are out of the question. I actually don't mind SC if it's cheap enough to not worry about breaking them. If it's half-decent (soundwise), I'm game. The PK3s are approaching the price level where I'll mind breaking them, and knowing me, the rig will be taking at least a few drops at the very least. With all the reports about the crappy cable on the Yuins, I'll take a pass on taking them to the gym.

Clip it is for the DAP, will look out for it if it does go on sale anytime soon.

I would recommend the clip or clip + too and if you are looking for "Good cheap gym combo," I would check refurbs, I've had great luck with the clips I bought at $14.99

Clip/Clip+. Small screen and ability to survive multiple drops makes it a great gym candidate.

How about the Koss KSC75? It won't be as likely to get yanked out compared to buds/iems, and they're pretty cheap.

Clip it is. Cheapest is $33 CAD for a 2GB refurb at Tiger Direct, any issues with refurbished Clips?

And my ears get really, really sweaty, so KSC75s are a no-go.
