I have noticed on Ebay and prob some other online stores that the older generation Sansa Clips still cost more than the newer Clip plus, yet again the newer clip plus offers more value for money especially with expandable memory.

They trying to earn a few extra bucks maybe? Not aware of the MSRP of the new version? Or other reason?

distributors got old clips at particular prices and they put their prices accordingly. now they got clips+ from sandisk at lower prices, so they sell them cheeper, its common thing that new goods are cheaper to produce than old models, everything gets cheaper nowadays.

Because people will buy them at that price since they don't price shop. It's the same reason why retail stores like Radio Shack are still in business.
