Circuit Specialists Inc. - BlackJack SolderWerks Soldering Station w/Digital Display (BK2000+)

Looking to replace a cheapie iron that has worked for years with something more functional.

I haven't used (or heard much about) the BlackJack Irons, but I do have the CSI Station 2A, which is something like a digital clone of the Hakko 936 and works very well.

"looks" like a Pace station, but doesn't use the cartridge-style tips. Probably will work, but hard to really say if it's a "good value" or not.

Case look aside, it looks like another hakko 936 clone. At least this one's cheap. Tweezers, too. Nice of them to include a spare heating element. From what's been said here about some of the clones, you might need it.

Is the temperature display worth $17. Do you trust it? The analog model's only $30.

No experience with that particular one, but I have the CSI station 1A and love it. If it is consistent with their other stations, the one you are looking at should be good.
