F-22 replacement

Alright. Screw the Arrow post.
Next-gen fighters should at least take care of that engine noise + heat.
I drew up a design for what I call an XF-27.

Pics?

It's a design that'll hopefully get adopted, so... no detailed pics.
I can post some rough ones (first sketches) when I have the time.
Gotta sleep.

Any military on Earth develops that, and I sign up to be a pilot the next day!

The F-22's replacement for all practical purposes is well known. It's the F-35.

In any case, the UAV is pushing the manned fighter into the graveyard of obsolete military technologies, just as the aircraft carrier obsoleted the battleship during WW2.

The US is broke (somebody had to pay all those bankers' bonuses, and the taxpayers were volunteered for that role). I wouldn't be surprised if the Air Force and Navy's budgets are clipped to fund the Marines and Army who do the actual fighting in real-world 21st century wars. Britain is already doing that, and our fiscal situation is not much less dire than theirs.

The Replacement For the F-22 is not the F-35, They're in two different classes, in fact it won't be replaced well into the net decade if some major change in Military technology happens

Too bad that current situation requires us to defend ourselves from terror.

Be realistic. That's not going to happen. While there is conflict between countries there needs to be armed forces and protection to ensure the safety of citizens. War is reality. Groups disagree and there is conflict, have a look at the middle east and take Palestine for example, two different groups believe wholeheartedly that they own it. Should they not fight to protect the land they truely believe is theirs?

You'll never get the world to disarm because everyone needs to protect themselves due to constant conflict. War is disgusting and horrible, but it's not as disgusting as someone too cowardly to fight for that which he loves. To do so he needs to continue to develop weapons in an attempt to gain an edge over his enemy.

There are wars that could definitely be argued as wars that never needed to be started and are morally wrong - wars that involve things such as genocide but there are times when there is no other choice but conflict.

You can't kill terrorists with F22, because they don't fly.

When you hit them with a air-to-ground missile they do.

Less noise and heat is good!

what u need is better armor & rifles for troops ..because urban warfare is taking place on civilian battlefield.

most of the defense technology in the past decade has been used for terrorism.

definitely wont be a replacement for the f-22 for many years to come, the f22 is the most advanced fighter in the world, and will be for the forseeable future, 5-7 years. its a shame we cut the original order down so much...
