Help Choosing Strain Relief?

I'm looking for a strain relief, such as Mouser 561-MP3P4, 561-MP2M4, etc. for a project. I'll be using it with some sort of star-quad cable (Mogami, Canare, etc. whatever). I'm not sure how to properly size these. I'd prefer a round panel hole. Has anyone ever used one of these with such a cable that could recommend something? I'd prefer this to a grommet with zip tie or something, as I'd like very good resistance to pulling, hence the locking strain relief concept.

Thanks!

Looking at the datasheet, if you are going to be using starquad, it is ~6mm diameter (.236, a bit smaller for the cable itself), so the round ones I think are the ones you want to look at. I think you want to go smaller than the cable size, so maybe the 561-MP2M4 (.156 x .187). If that is too small, maybe 561-MP5N4 (.250 x .250).

I've use the liquid tight strain reliefs like the Heyco also, though they are physically a bit large. They work well though.

Thanks Chris. I guess I was confused, as there is a piece that clamps down on the cable that I wasn't sure how to size... one part is like a E and the other like a backwards C. Anyways, I ordered the above and we'll just have to see if they work

Well, they arrived. The smaller one is definitely too small. However, I cannot convince myself they will work in a round hole?! Seems that the hole needs to be D shaped?

They work in round holes (as shown in the datasheet). Faith
