Regrets?

Ever regret or feel regrets buying anything head-fi related? (low or hi end)

Whenever I'm not around my equipment (out of the house), I sometimes think
"Damn that's a nice pair of shoes, but I could buy a new pair of tubes".

Of course this is usually not the case by the time I'm home and listening to my music.

well..I regret selling my JVC FX500's..and I kinda regret buying SE530's over UM3X's but oh well all water under the bridge.
I keep thinking about the £900 I spent on JH13's and what else this could buy me..a laptop and a 42" LCD and an Xbox 360 elite to be exact but then I think meh..its JH13's man

Typical head-fi syndrome eh? Sometimes you gotta keep telling yourself why the money you spent was worth it, justifying quality for price - if you must.

Buying HFI-780's was mine. Got rid of them quick. They just weren't for me.

Did you sell them back for what you paid?

Oh yeah!
Koss The Plug being one of them... years back.

If I remember right they were aquired as part of a trade and then traded again so it was probably pretty close.

Just the AKG K701 and UE super.fi 5 Pro. Maybe the Woo Audio 6 as well, because I couldn't notice a performance difference between it and the Little Dot MK IV SE.

I've definitely come across some steals on the FS forums here, deliberated, then lost the deal.

Wish I hadn't bought:

- Every single Grato (oh I was a glutton for punishment), and in particular a particularly hair, dandruff and oil-encrusted variety purchased here which I attempted to clean up, then threw away in the end
- The vast majority of the amps I bought
- On deep reflection and maybe controversially, perhaps any Audio-Technica.
- All my SACD hardware and software. That it is better is undisputed. That it has been utterly crappily executed in the market is the problem.
- Every small semi-portable phone I've bought over the years. Because I've wasted probably in the thousands on them with nothing to show for it.
- Every single Cowon DAP. Waste of time, yet they're so nerdtastic I have to buy one and deal with the inevitable irritations of Cowon ownership.

Perhaps this is an open list... there's probably a lot more.

I don't surprisingly, despite the fact that I didn't like them in the end, regret buying the Qualia 010. It was a pleasure to own. Having said that, I don't miss it either

I regret purchasing nearly everything I have. I wish I could go back and stay small. There was nothing like the first listen with a Grado SR-60. I wish I could cure myself of upgraditis.

I regret purchasing the ESW10JPN twice.

I probably regret getting the Grado PS1000's just to like my HD800's more. Should've waited to audition them but nope, impatient me couldn't do that and ended up wasting 300 bucks reselling them.
