I bought this cable from fellow here 1-2 months ago. I'm looking to get an another one that suit more with my hd600 which i am going to keep so this cable has to go. The cable is in very good condition. Here's some pictures, could provide more if necessary:

why is it more expensive than cardas?

I don't know how to answer you about the price. But from what I hear/own Cardas is not the best match for the hd650, much better for the hd600. I like sharper of Zu Mobius with hd650 the most and then the Equinox was impressive with its overall balance. Hope that help.
