So, . .What state is your Head-Fi addiction at ? - Page 3

I love headphones but at the same time, I'm getting kind of bored with them too. So I will be enjoying speakers more in the future. I will also be building a guitar tube amp in the future from a kit and that will be a big project for me. I also would like to try new hobbies too like naked sky diving and swinging. Ok, just kidding about the naked sky diving part.

My initial flurry of eagerness to try new stuff is waning. However, I think I'll have a resurgence of curiosity when enough time has passed and I feel some justice in treating myself to something new. I really appreciate a change of clothing/flavour.

I've got a pair of IEMs that I like (Shure SE 210) as well as a good set of open phones (Beyer DT990), now for a good closed pair. Then an amp... Then a DAC... Then a new source... Plus I just got into vinyl so... Oh Crap, I think I've got a ways to go before I'm "cured".

don't have the money to buy headphones and equipment anymore.
i use my speakers 95% of the time and headphones only when my roommate is sleeping.
my audioengine a2, emu 0404 usb, and hd580 are good enough for enjoying music.

however, i still visit headfi daily and read gearfi and the lounge.
my next headphone project would be to sell most of my headphones, keeping my two pairs of hd580 and hf2

I think by the time I get this rig sorted out, and once I get my hands on a pair of HF1s I'll be done.

I'm thinking this year will be dedicated to DIY and tweaking, as it's a lot cheaper and I need to save some money for Canjam! Other than that, I might try for a better speaker rig to share the fun with the family. What I think I need most though is more music.
