replaced car windshield washer fluid, how to replace water?

My car ran out of washer fluid today so I filled it up at the gas station. However I cannot find any place to replace the car's water. I mean when I activate the windshield wash, it seems the fluid is mixed with water before being sprayed on the windscreen.

Sorry for the stupid question but is there a place to replace the water at all?

I also smell something burning in the car for a brief moment when the 'low washer fluid' light came on. Anything I should diagnose?

Thanks everyone in advance!

Windshield washer fluid is what is hitting the windshield no water is added

as for the other issue I am not a mechanic so I couldn't diagnose issues.

Washer fluid is pre-mixed. Just put in the washer fluid. The smell of burning was prolly driving past something that was burning smell came in via vents and the low washer light came on at same time.

EXTREME CASE PROLLY NOT LIKELY... you were holding down on the washer fluid sprayer button and the motor had nothing to pump so it was trying its damndest and started to burn out.

No water needed!
Either it comes pre-mixed in 4-5 liter cans, or as concentrate which you mix with water directly in the container.

While you're under the hood, you may as well check the water, as well. There should be a reservoir by the radiator - make sure the water/coolant level is up to the mark on the side.

This is separate from the washer fluid, but slightly more important.

It is also a good idea to read your owner's manual to know when to replace the coolant in your car. Most used to recommend every 5 years, at which time you should replace the hoses and the radiator cap. Do not for get to rinse and fill up the external reservoir!
