Sansa Clip+ and Apple Lossless

Thread Starter
So I recently got a Sansa Clip+ and I also own a iPod Touch 64GB. All my music is in the Apple Lossless format and it doesn't seem to be recognized by the Sansa. Does that happen to anyone else? Do I need to rip all my music again with a different program? If so, which program do you guys use?

Thanks,

Bryan

The clip+ doesn't support Apple Lossless, for lossless you will have to use FLAC. You won't need to re-rip your music, you can just transcode it as it is already in a lossless format. I'm not sure if foobar2000 supports ALAC, but if it does you can just let it's converter run on all you music and transcode it to flac, ogg, mp3, but you have to supply the encoder. Plus, foobar is a great music player.

Not the best mix of players, unfortunately - not because either is bad, but just because of the compatibility issues. The only lossless format that they both support is L-PCM (.WAV files), and I wouldn't recommend that as a solution due to lack of tag support and the huge file sizes. You'll probably need to keep two separate libraries for these players.
