I'm thinking about canceling my order for Monster Turbines for these...

How does Rain differ from Thunder? (Besides the enhanced bass)
Also does the cord fir the iPhone 2G?

I think the Rain is meant to be a more flat, balanced sound while the Thunder is meant to be a more mainstream, 'fun' sound.

Thats funny, I used to live in the Thailand/Laos area for a few years, and I remember Lychee being a favorite fruit of mine. We would climb up those trees and collect alot of its fruit and eat all day. Now those very same fruit bearing trees are being use to make Earphones now.

Zephoku, what did you do? I have heard the Turbines, and while they are good, I think the Thunder is a better value. And yes, the plug looks like it should work with the 2G.

I listened to Turbines at a Can Jam for about 20 minutes, A/Bing with my IE8, so I would have to go from memory on the Turbine. My impression of the Turbine was that they did sound very good and rich, but the treble sounded off to me. Might have been a burn in issue, a tip issue, or just the IEM. As far as detail, I would say the Thunder is more detailed. I believe the soundstage is similar. That is the best I can do.
