I need help...

Alrighty, I have now considered IEM's to be much too expensive until I am on the employed list again, and am now considering to go basic earphones, again, until I am employed, as I have been told you get better sound quality for less money with these.

My question, being I would prefer a $40-$50 limit, and was wondering what would be best for my liking.

I love bass ... nothing I love more then bass ... BUT, I do not want the treble to sound flat like my past bass booster IEM's which is why I got out of bass in the first place, because as much as I love bass, I hate listening to not proper sounding trebles, is it possible to get nice sounding earphones, with some extra bass emphasis, that don't overpower the vocals and treble?

That said, I am willing to try almost any kind that sound good, I like clarity just as much as I like bass.

I was looking at Sennheiser MX660's, but I want to ask and clarify that they are actually worth the money before I decided, and if not, I am willing to take in all suggestions.

BTW, I like boomy bass, not fuzzy bass, if that helps any.

So basically:

Boomy Bass
Noticeable Mid-range (have had earphones without any...)
Crispy Highs (for the price range, of course)

All help GREATLY appreciated, and I apologize now for making another "which is the best" thread, I know they are of over abundance around here.

There are plenty of good IEMs under $50 out there and only a few good earbuds. Besides, I think the price/performance ratio for IEMs is at least as high as, if not higher, than conventional buds.

You may want to look at: Meelectronics M6/M11, Nuforce NE-6 or even the M9, Soundmagic PL21, and Lenntek Sonix Micro.

For earbuds it would be the Yuin PK3.

Ok, if you can live with Supra-aural phones get a set of Koss Portapro. Bassy and in your stated budget.

really??? hmm... I was told wrong, as I was told the regular earbuds were able to use bigger speakers therefore, stronger sounding, which sounded weird to me, but possible.

Maybe I'll just have to stick to the IEM's then

LOL, only when I'm doing work, I don't really need to hide them, but figured I'd get a rise outta people lol, my teachers are pretty laid back with the Ipod subject. I couldn't afford to keep them in during grade 12 pre-calculus math lol...

with that, what is the best IEM for me, judging by my first post?

I like my $30 Sony EX32's, could be a lot crisper, but I like the bass

but really, as long as the IEM's are crispy sounding (relatively), the more bass the better provided it doesn't effect the mids and highs much if at all.
