I'm just sayin', y'know, Wikipedia don't have ads.

Well if we were all contributing members the ads might not be needed. Why don't you become a contributor to help make it happen.

Wikipedia is structured as a charity...you get a tax deducted (in the US, at least) when you give them money.

HeadFi is not legally classified as a charity (A charity for headphones?). I remember the days before ads (yep...I've been here almost 8 years) and Jude said something about HeadFi being legally a business. He had some rational for doing it that way that had nothing to do with ads.

Yeah. I'll get another batch of income in the following months.

EDIT: So I'll donate some to Head-Fi.

We shouldn't have ads with all the sponsors & MOTT paying monthly dues... Along with contributing members..

Are the ads really that bad? I mean bad enough to complain about? Sure it'd be nice if they were gone, but it doesn't really bother me either.

We should be thankful that this site is even here..

Capitalism ftw. I am glad the guys running the site can make some money, actually.

I really wish that the head-fi attire that can be gotten if you do the max contribution could be bought as a standalone purchase. I myself am a contributing member but I don't have the need/means to pay that much on a annual basis as a donation.

I don't mind the ads but I really dislike that the sidebar is so enormous.

I'm just sayin', if you don't want to be here no one's forcing you. Thread closed.
