Last year, I made a "Downtempo" channel on Pandora and found a lot of new (to me) artists like Trentmoeller, Boards of Canada, and Ulrich Schnauss - he's become one of my favorites lately. Now I've got an "Ulrich Schnauss" channel and I could listen to it for hours - especially with headphones.

Enjoying the new Bonobo album, Black Sands. Quite typical Ninja Tune organic electronica. Check out

Edit: it is down tempo

Nice, I dig Bonobo, and Ninja Tune in general, will check it out

Speaking of Ninja Tune, anyone knows if Amon Tobin is up to some new release? Heck, I should know, being from Montreal and all.. hehe

Tobin is working on his next album, as well as some tracks for the new Splinter Cell game. The new album won't be out for a while, but he made about an album's worth of downloadable singles that are still for sale on his website.

And don't feel too bad - he hasn't lived in Montreal for a while now - he's in San Francisco now.

Ulrich pops up quite a bit on my "William Orbit" Last.FM station. I'm a big fan.

Yeah Last FM is such a cool place for picking up new artists from similar genre. My favourite 'Radio' on Last FM is Androcell Radio, soooooo many great artists on there I listen all day when working from home.....

Second that, I was using it for the first time in a few months earlier today. Typing in the bluefoot project yielded some pretty unusual results, most of them didn't turn up much on a google search, I love it!

I love Easily Embarrassed's newer stuff. Planet Discovery is a real trip they are starting to remind me of a modern day Tangerine Dream......

Check them out!
