Sold: Sennheiser HD650 w/Cardas Cable (Price Drop)

For sale are my beloved HD650's with 10 ft. Cardas Cable. These have been my main cans for almost two years. I absolutely love their sound, but they cannot compete for headtime with my 800's, and I've decided to go with the D7000 as my complement cans.

I bought these from Headroom on 11/16/07. I bought the cable from HR on 12/19/07. They have about 550 hours on them. They are in excellent condition 9/10. There is a 1cm paint chip at the bottom of the headband and some very slight pad wear. Outside of that they are perfect. If they were not on my head, they were sealed up in a cabinet.

I have the original receipt, paperwork, box, cable, etc. I prefer to ship in the US, and will show preference to US buyers first, but I am open buyers outside of the US. I am asking for $old shipped with insurance in the US. Payment through Paypal, I'll eat any fees. My feedback is listed here: wharfrat1.

PM me if you are interested.

Excuse my ignorance, but what sort of changes did the Cardis cables make to the sound?

Regarding the black and red wires coming out of the headset, the picture is not clear. Do they go directly into the sheath of the Cardis, or is there a connection or splice at the cable sheath?

Thanks,
XLR

I found that the Cardas (and I would assume the other solid aftermarket cable offerings) fleshes out greater detail throughout the entire audio spectrum, especially in the highs. To answer your second question, they go directly into the sheath, ther is not connector or splice.

After using the 650's for two years, I could not imagine using them with the junky stock cable.

Can you post a picture showing the "1cm paint chip at the bottom of the headband"?

Picture of the small chip

Since requested, here is a picture of the chip. Only blemish on these cans. They are in great shape. This is as macro a photo as I can get with my camera. I'm no photo expert, so hopefully this will work.
