XLR-terminating the HD600's..how?

Guys and Gals,

I want to XLR-terminate my HD600's with a 4-pin Neutrik XLR plug but I have no idea about the wire scheme.. how should I solder the headphone wires to the 4 pins (numbered 1-4) ??

Another related question: I won't bore you with details but I managed to destroy the mini-plugs (the red and black ones) of the original cable ... Luckily I was able to find a pair of replacement plugs but again I don't know which is left and which is right, and, the connection scheme of the wires to the L and R mini-plugs. Can anyone tell me how?

Thanks..

(you guessed it right..I don't know much about electronics.. )

Please don't tell me you don't have a multimeter.

It's pretty straightforward if you have a MM, just follow this pic:
