I just signed up but I have been browsing for awhile. But still don't really know jack. After ruining my iaudio x5 I'm looking for a replacement + heaphones and/or portable amp


What I was thinking so far is:

cowon D2 + rockbox of course
grado sr 225i headphones
amp ?

I listen to a lot of metal, acoustic folk and violin. I really liked the x5 and the d2 sounds like the next closest thing, the headphones seem to have some nice reviews and my main concern is if the d2 will be able to run them properly.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions and or information regarding what impact an amp would have.
