SOLD w/Xtra tubes + shipping. I picked this amp up here a little under a month ago from the second owner. I had the opportunity, shortly after buying this one, to pick up a much more expensive tube amp that I'd been looking for and practically given up hope on for the time being. Of course it came up AFTER I'd got this little beauty. So I'm reselling this one, possibly to take the sting out of my recent purchase, as I don't need two headphone amps. The ad I bought this one from is still up here, complete with the link to the stellar Positive Feedback review of this amp. These are rarely seen and this one has performed brilliantly for me via ATH W5000's. I guess you could get these for around $700 when they were still available from Consonance. I believe they are no longer made, though not positive on that. They use two EL84 drivers and a 12au7 pre tube. I will include the stock Russian (Sovtek) tubes (3) the seller provided to me, as well as a quad of (better sq IMO) Russian Mil spec En14n-EB tube (equivalent to the Sovtek "M" version), and a single US made black-plate 5814 (excellent 12au7 equivalent). I also had the pleasure to try some additional NOS tubes a friend loaned me while I had this and I can tell you it is very responsive to tube rolling so you can squeeze even more performance out of it still, though most will probably love it just like it is. If I don't get interest here I will move it over the the mass market eventually. If I get some firm interest here I may be willing to work something out for a Tuesday or Wednesday shipment to a committed buyer / trader. Feel free to ask any questions. The original seller's listing is an excellent summation of the condition and performance of this amp - it is an outstanding value and is in used, cared-for 8/10 condition. Ultra picky cosmetic buyers should look elsewhere - it looks great, but if you are going over it with a magnifying glass I'm sure you will find flaws. You can get a good sense of the cosmetic condition of it from the pictures. The tubes I'm including should sweeten the deal, but if you put some serious NOS in here you'll really be cooking with gas. This is an outstanding tube amp, and an outright bargain at the price-point. It has a separate power supply (keeping the power AC-nasties outside of the amp circuit) with umbilical, and together the package weighs in at around 20 lbs. and would be shipped from 98115. Check my feedback on Agon, and yes, over at the Death Star (eBay), as well as here in the feedback forum, to assure you of a smooth transaction. Original factory box and packing included, but manual was misplaced by 2nd owner so no manual. I will also consider possible trades for dynamic cans, as well as any offers to buy it outright. For those inclined to offer a trade; I love my current W5000's but they are a tight fit on my large head. I'm looking for SQ at least equal to those. IEM's need not apply.
