Soundgarden returns

I'm curious to see what the result of this will be. Audioslave seemed to be going downhill pretty fast with their last record, and Chris Cornell's most recent solo album was absolutely horrendous.

Will they be able to pull something together that can measure up to Zeitgeist, Black Gives Way to Blue, or even Backspacer? Do they have any energy left, or is it going to be another Down On The Upside?

Damn, never do that again! I just thought... ARGH, I GUESS MANY PEOPLE GET WHAT I MEAN! :P

And: "Down on the Upside" is neat, in my opinion.

It wasn't a terrible album, but it really paled in comparison to Super Unknown and BadMotorFinger. Supposedly it was Cornell fighting with Thayill over the new "soft" direction he wanted that helped lead to the breakup. I really hope whatever they end up delivering has some proper old school aggression on it. If it's just Euphoria Morning with Soundgarden written at the top, I'm gonna be pissed.
