iBasso d10 and AKG K271 MKII ?

Thread Starter
I just purchased an iBasso d10 for its portable form and optical input. I am looking for the best closed cans for classical and have almost settled on AKG 271s. Does anyone have experience with the pairing listed above?

Will the iBasso bring out the best in the AKG 271s?

Source will be lossless>macbook 13">optical>ibasso d10.

Thanks

I just ordered AKG K271 and Shure SRH840s. Next week I can tell you about the relative performance of the AKGs on my D10 with optical input. Are you using the stock opamps? What kind of classical music do you listen to?

Eucariote,

Thanks for the post. Turns out I just picked up a pair of the AKG K271s and have yet to plug them in. I am on stock opamps in the D10. The D10 didn't do much with basic ATH A700 cans....hoping things will sound better with better cans.

I have lossless orchesteral music on a Macbook with optical to the D10.

I am just beginning to dig into orchesteral music and will be working on Beethoven's symphonies and string quartets....listening to the pieces as I also listen to an audio teaching series.
