So I got some fake Sennheiser IE7's [HQ PICS INSIDE]

Hey guys,
Yesterday I decided to order some IE7's from a private seller from Amazon; I should've known they were fake when they were priced at £53.

Fast forward to 10 minutes ago, I open up the plastic wrapper and I instantly see the signs of fakedness; the indents of the pictures are not there, they actually look like stickers. The poor-quality box is completely plastic that came apart in my hands.
In the box there is no cleaning tool or foam adapters.
The headphones themselves are so obviously fake it's laughable, the wire is the same gray of a Nintendo DS charger, the actual jack itself is not transluminous and the wire seems weak and cheap.
I can't really comment about the sound as I know the real headphones sound crap straight out of the box too.

The point of this thread is not to ask 'What do I do now?', I know exactly what to do know, I contact the seller and Amazon.
The point is to provide to people something to go by when they think they have received fake IE7's. When I first ordered them, I knew that at that price they could well be fake, and I tried to find a guide or comparative pictures between fake and genuine IE7's. But I found nearly nothing, on this site I found a couple of threads with little bits of information, but nothing huge.

haha

Was the seller Amplitude.Audio by any chance?
Ya try get it sorted with the seller but if that doesn't work just use Amazon's A-Z guarantee.

Wow that sucks man, sorry about that.

Can't you notify Amazon about this?

You guys do realize that this thread is just a few days short of being two months old, and the OP never updated his post....

Still it's an interesting thread.

Are there alot of fake phones out there?

I found a site selling Denon AH-D7000 for $549 new... my first thought counterfeit???
However the site is well established and has several current "good" reviews.

Is it common to get scammed on phones?

Some headphones (and IEMs) are very often faked, for instance Sennheiser IEMs and Audio-Technica headphones.

I believe J&R sold the D7000s around that price a few months ago if you called them and they are certainly reputable. It may help if you tell us who is selling the Denons.

I found that price on a site called Karaoke Equipment.com

Denon AH-D7000 Around-Ear Stereo Headphones AHD7000

I thought it very odd that they were almost half the price of other sites.

Yup, Amplitude.Audio, also I remember a thread by either you or someone else where OP said the right phone had fingerprints of superglue on them. That was a week after I had glued mine back up and sent them back. So woah for that.

Hi, I'm OP; this was posted two months ago by me from a different account which, for some reason, I had difficulties posting with. In trying to register for another one I realised I had already registered once way beforehand, so I just used this one. Hence is why this has popped up two months too late

Yup, Amplitude.Audio, also I remember a thread by either you or someone else where OP said the left phone of the ones he ordered had fingerprints of superglue on them. That was a week or two after I had glued mine back up and sent them back. So woah for that.
