Adjusting Gain on Darkvoice THA332

Does anyone have any experience with adjusting the gain on a Darkvoice THA332? I'd like to adjust the gain because it's freakin' ridiculous that I can't use a pair of HD600s with it unless I wind back the output of my DAC through software. If no one knows I might pop it open and start trying to reverse engineer it and produce a circuit diagram. I'm sure with that someone more knowledgeable about amplifier design than myself will be able to help.

not sure if it is the same as the 336, but they came with a linear pot. Replace it with a log 50k and you will be happier - much better adjustment

I'll stick a multimeter on the pot later today and have a look. Might be a possible fix. Thanks.

Plan b if it already has a log pot and is still too loud (I have no idea) is to shunt it.

Yeap. Looks like it's a Linear Pot. I'll have to try and find something else I can switch in there.

alps will fit. I recently did this to a mates 336, and it was a stark improvement.

Whilst you are at it, check the output caps. the 336 has some cheap 10uf films in parallel to create 30uf. I replaced them with some good bipolar electrolytics bypassed with some obbligato small films and it sounds better again (which is a suprise to be honest - those films must be awful!)
