Just as a tip, some commercial designs use a time delay circuit to drive multiple relays - one for the inrush current limiter, and the others to provide speaker output turn-on muting. Usually that circuit also has DC offset protection sensing capability to cut out the speakers, or even amplifier shutdown when it overheats.
